Corso di Digitalizzazione – SSAW
On November 1st, 2025, SSAW proudly launched its Digitalization Course, a transformative initiative designed to strengthen digital skills and promote inclusion within the community. Hosted at La Casa del Quartiere Pecetta in Via Pecetta 29, Milan, Municipality 8, the program quickly became more than a weekly training session. It became a space for growth, connection, and empowerment.
For ten consecutive weeks, participants met every Saturday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, engaging in focused two-hour sessions that combined theory with practical application. The course was open to the public and welcomed ten participants eager to strengthen their digital competencies in an increasingly technology-driven world. From basic computer knowledge to internet navigation, email communication, online services, and digital security awareness, the curriculum was carefully structured to provide essential tools for personal and professional development. Each session built confidence, encouraging participants to move from uncertainty to autonomy.
The course officially concluded on February 7th, 2026, a particularly meaningful date as it coincided with the celebration of SSAW’s second anniversary. During this special event, eight out of the ten participants who successfully completed the program were awarded Certificates of Attendance. The ceremony was not only a recognition of their dedication and commitment but also a powerful symbol of progress and collective achievement. For many, receiving the certificate represented resilience, determination, and a renewed belief in their ability to adapt and thrive in the digital era.
This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter. Building on the success of the Milan program, SSAW is now preparing to launch a pilot project in Chad from March 31st to April 7th, 2026. This mission represents an important step toward expanding the organization’s impact beyond local borders. If the pilot phase is successfully completed, SSAW aims to move forward with an advanced-level program, further strengthening digital capacity and creating sustainable opportunities for broader communities.
The journey that began in November has evolved into a vision that extends across borders. SSAW continues to demonstrate that digital education is not simply about technology, but about empowerment, inclusion, and building a future where access to knowledge creates lasting change.
