SSAW at Festa Pop: Supporting Sudan Amid Conflict

On September 13, SSAW – Support Survivors of African War participated in Festa Pop at the Parco Comunale Castello di Ariberto in Capiago Intimiano. The organization was present with a stand to raise awareness about the ongoing conflict in Sudan and to support its humanitarian programs.

Visitors could experience Sudanese culture firsthand through traditional foods like falafel and sweets, and the Sudanese coffee ceremony, a central aspect of the country’s social traditions. The team explained the customs around preparing and serving coffee, highlighting its importance in daily life and community gatherings. Every contribution helped SSAW provide direct assistance to those affected by the ongoing war in Sudan.

The SSAW team, supported by Moaz Fatash and  Martina Marelli, engaged with participants, explaining the organization’s work and mission.

Festa Pop offered a space where culture, community, and solidarity met. Thanks to SSAW, visitors could enjoy authentic Sudanese traditions while contributing to a meaningful cause.
